Inbuilt Wood Heaters

Inbuilt wood heaters are a popular form of wood heating. They can turn an old, draughty open fireplace into an attractive, warm combustion heater which can heat your entire house, and because they are built into the wall, they do not take up precious floor space.

Inbuilt fireplaces can be installed into existing homes or built into new homes and renovated spaces. When choosing an inbuilt wood heater, it is important to know what your wall material is constructed from as some heaters are designed for masonry only (brick, stone, concrete) whereas some heaters can be installed with a Zero Clearance Box which insulates the firebox when built into a combustible wall (timber frame/plasterboard).

OLD HOMES

Many older homes feature a traditional stone or brick open fireplace which in times past, were the primary form of home heating despite being incredibly inefficient, dirty and often dangerous.

A modern combustion heater is a great replacement option. They are highly efficient, make next to no pollution and provide longer and safer burn times with controlled combustion. The uninsulated firebox still provides radiant heat into the bricks which will retain warmth even after the fire stops burning.

We carry numerous brands and models in both modern and heritage design styles and our experienced staff are more than happy to assist you in choosing the right option for your home.

NEW HOMES

For newer homes, an inbuilt fireplace is a fantastic way to add ambience and warmth to your home whilst saving on floor space. Modern units utilize a zero-clearance box to insulate the timber frame and plasterboard wall from the radiant heat of the firebox.

Popular models include the Regency Mansfield, Blaze B520 and B820, the Masport Inverell and the Pacific Energy Neo series, however please call in to view our extensive range and chat to our team for friendly advice on finding the best product for your home.
